Social Media Sins, e-books and Linkedin

We got a sponsor for the DaveCast, but more on that next week. I am going to be working a best of Dave Show.

We talk this week on my unreleased LinkedIn e-book. I hve every intention of getting it out before the end of the year, and that will lead me into my next e-book. More on that soon.

Social Media Sins:

  • multiple posting – one right after the over

oops, yeah you are doing it wrong

  • over automation – setting up it and forgetting and having the message get lost
  • how you deal with crisis and/or bad press – from not paying attention or ignoring to not doing enough to fix or not fixing it in the public view
  • forgetting about the account – creating then leaving it sit there to draw dust
  • direct selling – educate first, help first avoid outright selling
  • following & un-following – personal pet peeve.
  • posting and re-posting - break up your message and avoid saying the same thing on the main channels

I still learning how to edit. I hope you like the show opening. I got a guy working on some intros for me. I hope they are done soon.

Oh, I need to learn to turn off all of my instant messengers, skype and cell phones in the future.

Hey Tubby…90 Day Challenge Update

I am a day or two late doing this update, and for that I am sorry.
I have had an issue for sometime and really do believe that is hindering my progress.Sleep…I feel like I am consistently behind. So, I burn the candle at both ends. In my life, since I started to work from home I have become an abuser of time. I was a subscriber to the Lombardi theory that you needed to be 15 minutes early to every

always be 15 minutes early

appointment. The downside got to be is when I was there early and then the person meeting me was 5, 10 or 30 minutes late. I learned to adjust my time, but now I am that guy that is chronically late.

Oh, and don’t get me started on the eastern time zone. I hate the eastern time zone!!!

But, the other day. I did a a video. Since, I am kind of known for doing video and I have not done one an while. I really sound incredibly down and I was.

I am feeling the success in losing the weight, but not the success that I want to feel. I know I should take every success as they are – a success. However, I want more, and I am not getting more as I am taking this as serious as I should be. I am eating well, and avoiding McDonald’s and every other fast food pothole that seems to be on every corner.

I am drinking less Coke Zero and more water. I am drinking a daily protein drink and taking supplements that is part of a great weight loss system. I am lifting. I had always put weightlifting down as one of my hobbies and I do not know why I got away from it. It is a slippery soap when you allow yourself to make excuses.

As I go deeper into the rabbit hole of losing weight. I quit making excuses. If I want to eat something. I eat and I live with the consequences. Since, I am living with the consequences. I tend to watch what I eat a little more…sometimes.

Weight Update: 273
for those keeping track at home that is 19.2lbs in 5 weeks.
I headed into some major obstacles over the next few weeks with Christmas parties, family get together’s and it is getting colder.

I made a goal at the beginning this week to ride a 100 miles on the bike and as of today 3 days in I am at 48 miles, and I am about to head to the gym where on average I ride about 12. I see this goal falling down. I would like to think when summer rolls

they call me Tubby

around I want to try and hit 150 or 200 miles a week both on and off road rolling.

Any questions please leave them down below. I look forward to your comments.

Oh, funny..someone called me “tubby” on Twitter.

Daver from the side

I am pretty sure it is no secret that I have a bit of an ego or that I am overly arrogant. However, I wear it well. I like to think that it is no so much in your face. I just am. Well, I did not get fat overnight. In reality, it took a [...] Read more »

A book by its cover

I know we all have done it. I have done and the times that I have not done it have worked out great for me. When I first got out of collge (go boilers). I went to work for a 55 and over retirement community in Grayslake, IL. called Saddlebrook Farms. I loved it there [...] Read more »

My workout and diet

Well, I guess I should really just call it my workout. I do not follow as strict as a diet as I should. I will watch what I eat and try to not over eat, but there are times when I want a beer and some fried chicken wings. 5 to 7 days a week, [...] Read more »
