Though, I am no longer an active participant in the day to day activities of a mortgage company. I still get asked to consult and teach. I, also, still get a lot of calls for referrals. I get a call every so often from a couple that had some issues getting approved. I knew what I had to do to get it done and we did. I never once thought they might not make it. They were so head strong and determined to buy a home. They were tired of living in an apartment.
People in their lives knew of their issues and when they were approved and we closed. I had a good little flow of referrals from them. I think over the years. I can trace about 10 more loans back to them. Surprisingly, I was able to control the whole process as they did not send the same agent the referral.
Tell a story with your marketing, it will strike a chord with a lot of people whether that have a similar situation or they know someone that does.
