Busy yet Productive

You know you get it every day, I know I do.

Someone may ask, “how are you doing”?  You know darn well they don’t care how you are doing. They are just asking what they say out of habit, but you are really no better.  As you always reply with, “I am good how are you”. I am sure they know I really don’t care all that much how they are doing. I am just being polite and I know if they are having some issue there is no way I can really help.

I, however, have decided to answer this way as of now and I have been doing it all week. I will tell you my results at the end of this blog. “I am productive”, “I am getting things done.  I am making the magic happen”. I am sure that you can only imagine the responses I have been getting. Like, “I wish I was”, I got a few “good for you” some “great”, but most just ignore it and move on like I said nothing.

But, those words are so powerful for me! I had spend most of 2009 dealing with some legal issues and people who do not want to do business my way. I was busy. I was running from fire to fire, till I finally tossed a huge bucket of water on it all. I took a huge step in March of this year. Essentially, I will be closing 2010 doing something that I completely enjoy. Living the life that I want to.

Some may think a life like this is not possible, but it is.  I have some to realize that there are days when I feel like all I am doing it busy work, but at the end of the day.  I was really productive.  I may have made a change that got me a few more page views or on page one of google for a new keyword.

Back to my quote. “I am productive”, and I have been I am having one of the best months of my career.

This is the challenge of the week, tell everyone this week that asks you how you are doing, tell them you are PRODUCTIVE and you will see a difference very soon.
